Artist’s Statement
Painting is an important commitment in my life. It is the ultimate meeting place for my experiences, observations, and worldview. As an artist it’s important for me to share sensations, emotions, and to bring to life the expression of my intuition.
In each of my pieces, I try to transmit the sensation linked to the context of the subject rather than reflecting the specific characteristics of the subject. In this respect I am attracted to differences of perception, harmony and organic beauty in nature, urban complexity and chaos, and the relation between human beings and the world.
Working in mixed-media allows for an expressive array of textures and materials, providing me with the potential to express my emotions freely when moved by a subject. By sharing these paintings I hope to inspire the viewer to impose their own meanings and emotions on them.
